FBC Laser Wire Stripper

Delivering Unparalleled Cable Processing Quality Through Precision Laser Technology.

What is the FBC Laser Wire Stripper?

As cables become increasingly sophisticated in industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and telecommunications, cable structures are becoming more complex.

The FBC Laser Wire Stripper is a precision laser processing system that uses laser energy to strip cable insulation and shield layers with exceptional accuracy.

Unlike conventional mechanical blade stripping, it can process ultra-fine wires and specialized cables that are difficult to handle mechanically, while minimizing damage to the conductor and ensuring consistently high-quality results.

Features

  • Reduced conductor damage through non-contact laser processing
  • High-precision processing for fine and delicate applications
  • Capable of processing complex and difficult cable structures
  • Stable and consistent processing quality
  • Easy integration into automated production lines

Processing Examples

Ultra-Fine Coaxial Cables for Electronic Devices

Laser Jacket Cutter

JC-H100

Uniform, High-Precision Cable Jacket and Insulation Cutting with Laser Technology

The Laser Jacket Cutter removes cable jackets with exceptional accuracy and consistency. Unlike mechanical blades, it is ideal for fine wires and specialty insulation materials that are easily damaged. The laser precisely cuts the outer jacket without damaging the shield layer or conductor, ensuring stable, high-quality processing.

  • No damage to metal conductors
  • Suitable for soft insulation materials, including foamed insulation
  • Maintains consistent processing accuracy over long periods
  • Non-contact processing accommodates various cable shapes, including oval cables
The laser is reflected by the metal conductor, preventing damage to the conductor.

Are You Facing Common Cable Processing Challenges?

FBC Laser Wire Stripper uses laser energy that is reflected by metal surfaces, preventing damage to conductors and shield layers.

FBC’s dual-sided laser irradiation eliminates the need to flip the workpiece, ensuring stable processing without positional deviation between the upper and lower sides.

FBC’s system eliminates cutting-position deviations caused by temperature drift unlike common issue with competitor’s galvo scanning systems, and enabling highly precise processing.

FBC’s system can store up to 50 product-specific recipes, including focal positions and processing positions. Changeovers are completed simply by selecting the recipe number, making it suitable for high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and flexible use for both mass production and prototype production.

Laser Shield Cutter

SC-H100

FBC’s proprietary laser technology enables uniform processing of the shield layer around the entire circumference of the cable.

FBC Laser Shield Cutter precisely cuts metal shield and metal foil shield using advanced laser technology. Its proprietary four-direction laser irradiation enables selective shield removal while minimizing the impact on the insulation layer and center conductors.

  • Uniform 360° processing around the cable circumference
  • Precise control of the processing depth is possible for both metal shields and metal foil shields
  • Excellent process repeatability
  • No rework is required for any remaining shield material after cutting
Four-direction laser irradiation delivers clean, complete shield removal without damaging the dielectric layer.

Are You Facing Common Challenges in Shield Processing?

FBC’s system can store up to 50 product-specific recipes, including focal positions and processing positions. Changeovers are completed simply by selecting the recipe number, making it suitable for high-mix, low-volume manufacturing and flexible use for both mass production and prototype production.

The shield wire can be processed uniformly around its entire circumference, eliminating any uncut shield strands. In addition, the cutting depth can be precisely controlled to minimize damage to the inner dielectric and center conductor.

FBC‘s head scanning system provides the following advantages:

  • Consistent shield cutting across the entire processing range, with no variation between the center and both ends of the effective processing area.
  • Stable processing accuracy without the positional fluctuations caused by temperature drift, a common issue with competitor’s galvo scanning systems.
